Parenting Coach. Educator. Mom.

A steady guide for calm, confident parenting

I loved being a mom.
It was also the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

As a single mother, I learned what it means to lead under pressure;

to hold structure when you’re exhausted, to stay steady when emotions are loud, and to protect trust even when you’re not sure what to do next.

That lived experience shapes everything about how I work with families today.

But parenting doesn’t need to feel like a day-long negotiation.

If you’re tired of explaining, managing emotions (theirs and yours), or feeling like you’re constantly reacting, it’s not because you’re failing (even though it really feels that way).

It’s usually because a pattern has formed you haven't identified it yet.

Hi, I’m Susan Morley.

I’m a parenting coach, early childhood educator, and mom of two (including one very strong-willed child).

I’ve helped hundreds of families across the U.S. move out of reactive cycles and into calmer, more confident leadership at home.

But what I really do is this:

I listen for what’s not being said.

Because that’s usually where the pattern is.

I help families see the invisible dynamics driving visible conflict and then we shift them.

What That Looks Like in Practice

My work focuses on:

✔️ reducing power struggles
✔️ helping parents talk less so kids listen
✔️ setting boundaries that actually stick
✔️ and restoring clear, calm leadership

Whether you’re dealing with tantrums, screen-time battles, sibling conflict, bedtime chaos, or ongoing backtalk, my role is to slow things down and clarify what’s really happening underneath the behavior.

Sometimes the issue isn’t the child.

It’s an invisible role dynamic:
– one parent over-functioning
– parents not aligned
– a child emotionally leading the household

When roles reset, behavior often follows.

Why My Approach Works

My work is practical, structured, and tailored to your family.

I don’t use one-size-fits-all advice or internet-perfect parenting ideals.

Instead, I help you develop a clear plan rooted in:

your values
your child’s temperament
and the reality of your home

You will learn how to:

✅ respond calmly even when emotions are high
✅ set firm boundaries without over-explaining
✅ protect long-term trust while correcting short-term behavior
✅ stop second-guessing your leadership as the adult in the room

This isn’t about being calm all the time.

It’s about being clear most of the time.

Experience That Grounds the Work

I’ve supported families navigating:

◻️ early childhood behavior challenges
◻️ suspected or diagnosed behaviors (ASD, ODD, PDA, ADD, etc.)

◻️ school transitions
◻️ blended family dynamics
◻️ co-parenting misalignment
◻️ and teen substance-use concerns

I’ve worked in classrooms, homes, treatment centers, and alongside therapists and other professionals.

Most importantly, I understand both sides of parenting:

The joy.
The grief.
The pride.
The doubt.

Sometimes grief and clarity sit in the same moment.

Confident parents learn to hold both.

What I Believe

Being loving and being respected go hand-in-hand.

Discipline is about teaching and structure; not punishment.

Strong-willed kids need calm leadership, not constant negotiation.

And long-term trust matters more than short-term control.

My daughters are now strong women finding their way and they trust that I have their backs.

That long-game trust is what I help other families protect.
